King David Mowbray Golf Club (KDMGC) Communication: WEB AND EMAIL
The Chair and Vice Chair held various meetings during November 2024 to decide on the way forward when the discussions around densifying the KDMGC finally commence. Input was garnered from the Roads working group, the Plans working group, and then from Councillor Davids.

Process:
Step 1: Residents on the WhatsApp groups already asked to sign up as I&AP. Can choose to just stay informed or be actively involved.

Step 2: One of our famous google spreadsheets. They are proving so helpful in a myriad of different ways.
Link below to a shared document for ratepayers and residents to please capture concerns, potential positive impact, and potential negative impact that a development of this nature and location might result in.
Step 3: We would like to set up a KDMGC Focus/Working Group comprising of residents and ratepayers with professional expertise in the following areas:
- Town Planning
- Urban Design
- Architecture
- Traffic Engineering
- Environmental Impact
- Services Engineering
- Property sales
- Legal
This focus/working group can work towards formulating a high-level representation and presentation of concerns, potential positive impact and potential negative impact that a development of this nature and location might result in, with an added, in-depth, layer of oversight and professional understanding. Contact Desray or Jess on WhatsApp or email info@pinelandsratepayers.co.za.
The above steps will ensure we are able to broadly understand the concept and therefore be able to quickly mobilise when the time comes to interact with the CoCT or comment on CoCT proposals.
We feel that this is a positive starting point, to maximise input, facilitate constructive criticism and positive input and to ensure procedural transparency.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with constructive ideas and volunteer capacity.
